The documentation for express checkout states that:

To initialize the Pay Now checkout experience, set the commit parameter to true.

I get what they mean by this, but I am wondering if there is a way to really 'set' it as if we're changing the property of an object.

My use case is that before beginning the modal payment flow for Paypal we want to validate that the proper address data and everything has been entered by the user.

That being said, I get the sense that part of the very reason the express checkout is designed this way is to prevent this kind of anti-pattern. Are we completely out of luck if we don't want to have two separate stages of our checkout flow? One for confirming information with us the company, and the other for confirming payment with Paypal?
