There is a way to listen to credit card changes in order to update taxes?

I'm integrating my website with PayPal Smart Buttons and I'm a little bit confused regarding the digital goods and the billing address, for example:
1. The user comes to the Shop and select a digital good
2. In checkout page the user reaches the PayPal button to pay
3. If the user's billing address, linked to their card is located, for example, in Alabama, I should get that address and calculate taxes (even for digital goods)
My question is, I have a built-in solution for physical products, I can listen to `onShippingAddress` callback in PayPal side, but I don't have the same for credit card changes in order to cover that specific user flow. There is another way to handle that?
