I am trying to help a client embed a Pay by PayPal button on their website. We generated a "smart button" embed code while logged into their account, added the embed code to their WIX hosted website, and it doesn't work:
- When users try "Pay by PayPal", they can't login to PayPal with their email and password
- When users try Pay by credit card", it appears to work - but the transaction never shows up as "sent" by the payee, or "received" by the org
Any tips what might be going wrong?
FYI, I tested to see if the problem was WIX by using the same embed code in a standalone "webpage" I generated using Notepad. The failure is the same. I also tried to create a Smart Button using my own PayPal account. It, too, failed.
Is the Smart Button code generator broken? is there a different way to generate the embed code?
