Recurring payment invoices

Hi, we have recurring payments set up for monthly membership to our website. Does paypal send email invoices to customers every month when payment is automatically taken and if not is this something we can set up?

I don't believe any invoices are sent to your customers or clients for recurring payments or subscriptions.  Once they sign up, their account is automatically billed per the terms (daily, weekly, monthly or annually) and there will be a transaction record of the bill in there account activity.   If you want to send out a separate notice, that would be possible using PayPal's IPN or Instant Payment Notification feature.  You can learn more about this function here.
