My sister has a small side business that she is using PayPal Here with the standard swipe card reader. She is thinking about exhibiting her products at a show where the vendor is not providing internet access. Yes, we could use a phone as a hot spot and connect through that, but that greatly reduces battery life on the phone and tablet. Plus, I would have concerns on cell signal inside the venue. I saw a video posted that indicates the Tap reader will work in an Off-line mode, but the link that shows how to do that goes to a dead page, so not 100% positive that will work for our need. Does anyone know for sure if this is a possibility ? I do realize working off line does increase risk, but I have to assume this has come up before. The Help system search function leaves a lot to be desired.
