Order status Cancelled

Hello there,

 

We run an e-commerce site created on an Open Cart Platform.

The past couple of times, when an order is paid via PayPal we receive the order status in our back end

as cancelled and therefore it doesn't fall into our ERP system.

Also, our customers receive an email with the order status cancelled too.

Can anyone let us know what this could be?
