Key in credit card numbers on app?

Hi I have used the key reader several times. Specifically the chip reader. It’s worked fine. We may have to start taking payments over the phone though now. I thought there was a way I could just punch in the person’s credit card number...I see a fee for that, but I don’t see how to do it on the app. Anyone know how? Do I have to have the chip reader plugged in to even key in the number maybe? I haven’t tried that. If someone could let me know that be great. I have tried to look on the website but maybe I’m just missing it. Thanks so much

With regards to your question, I'm afraid that processing payments for your customers only works on a browser and not through the app. And no, you do not need to have the chip reader for you to process payments and punch in your customers' card info online.
