Just wondering whether it is ok to change the item ID on the Paypal receipt after it has been in use. It does say it is optional. I just realized it is confusing, because the item ID is shown on the receipt as #membership2019 which is confusing for some, because it is also for 2020.
I understand how do this. That's not the issue. Just wondering whether it might cause problems as the button has already been used.
Yes, it is okay to change it. It doesn't retroactively change the info on the transactions previous generated from the button. Or, you can make a duplicate of the button at the button tool and then change the Item ID and use the new button going forward.
