Inconsistent subscription payment email notifications

For some reason when my subscribers' subscription payments are made and an email notification is sent to me, the formats are not always the same, messing up the scripts that read and process them on my end.
For example, when trying to derive the account email address, one email notifications formats it like this:
"Customer email:testuser @ emailaddress . com"
And another email will show this:
"Customer email testuser @ emailaddress . com"
Trying to locate the address in php is difficult when one email has the email address following a semicolon, and another has 2 spaces instead. It's true of other items in the email as well. Why are there different formats in the emails for the same subscription?
Thanks
