Why have PayPal replaced the attractive, intuitive, well-known, effective credit card buttons with a single, ugly, gray button? I've noticed recently that the credit card icons that used to appear in the so-called Smart Buttons for PayPal Checkout have been replaced with a single dark gray button that says 'Debit or Credit Card' on it. No one knows what that ugly gray button is for. It has no UI/UX history in people's minds. Even when you click it, no well-known credit card icons appear. A form just drops down, making one's site look cheap and scammy. People know the credit card icons, they know the Visa logo, the AMEX logo, the Discover logo, etc. They're trusted and known. This ugly gray button is not.
Does anyone know how to restore the previous credit card logo icons for PayPal Checkout?
