Extra information through Paypal 'Buy Now' Button

I've set up a Buy Now button on my website which is working well.

However when someone buys, I'd like to get a couple more pieces of information - a phone number and a response to a question.

Is this possible, and if so how do I do it

To optionally or require a customer phone number go to My Selling Tools > Website payment preferences

No idea how to pass answers to questions though payment except for asking the question on the page where the button is and asking the buyer to enter the answer in the Add special instructions field during checkout. You can also turn special instructions field on in the button settings.
