Rarely use the reader. Last used about 9 months ago. Worked fine then. Been sitting untouched since then. Hooked it up today as there was the 'Important: Required Software Update for PayPal Here Contactless Card Reader' email so I planned updating the software. Only to be greeted by the 'Damage to Reader detected. Please contact Paypal for assistance.' message.
Is there any solution to this aside from buying (yet) another reader...?
did anyone get any help with this? I just took mine out after being stored in it's own box for almost 2 years and got the same message. It was only ever use 3/4 times at the most. I was very careful with how it was stored and i'm not very happy at all.
Can you tell me if anyone has had any luck in fixing this problem with the reader. I have always stored mine in its box, and only use it every now and again. I have been trying to contact Paypal without any response. This is very frustrating.
