Yes, I have the same requirement. All the custom button example I see are to create a button. But I need it with the recommended integration method: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/integrate/#how-a-client-integration-works.
The current integration method requires the use of a 210kb client side script provided by PayPal (checkout.js). In the old days (10 years ago), I could very easily integrate by handcrafting classic asp pages in notepad, and hence I could initiate payment from my own button. Is the old method still available?
