NO ONE but the two of you have seen the phone,so he will return the phone with tracking and you or Paypal will refund him in full.
iphones or any APPL products are high risk, prone to scam

Has he actually opened a dispute?
Has it been escalated to a claim?
Have you put as much information in 'messages to the buyer' during the dispute phase in your defence?
Have paypal found in his favour and told him to return the phone?
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
