I’ve listed my park model trailer for sale in Canada. Someone in US wants to buy it but only through PayPal. How safe is this and when I’ve suggested sending a money transfer or wire, they only want PayPal. I’ve read that once the transaction goes through, they can dispute and the money would be put on hold. Does this sound legitimate

Neither seller or buyer are eligible for PayPal seller or buyer protection programs on vehicles, including, but not limited to a motor vehicle, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, aircraft or boat. It might be put on hold because it is large payment for up to 21 days, no problems reported, then it gets released. The Resolution Center can still be used to facilitate a resolution to be worked out between parties within the first 20 days (the dispute phase) but PayPal may or may not rule it if escalated to step in or closing the case, so a resolution must be worked out between parties on your own.

US: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/ua/useragreement-full?locale.x=en_US#purchase-protection

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
