Hey! What happens if a seller does not respond to a dispute within the 20 days after opening the dispute?

You can escalate at anytime within the 20 days to a claim for PayPal to step in and decide the outcome. PayPal will also attempt to contact the seller when the dispute has been escalated.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thanks! But what happens if I don't escalate it to PayPal and wait out the 20 days? I opened the disputes yesterday, so the seller has time until the 27th to respond. What happens on the 27th if I do not escalate it? Thank you!

The disputes will close automatically with no resolution if you do not escalate.

And the money stays with the seller?

Yes. It will be closed like there is no contest.

I am just scared that due to the amount of disputes I've opened, PayPal decides to put restrictions on my account. Is there any way I can make sure that this doesn't happen?
