Suspicious of Fraud

I supposedly received a payment but did not get an email or notification and they payment does not show in my account. The buyer claims that this is because it is a large amount and it needs to be verified by paypal before I get any emails. They did send a picture from their computer saying I was sent the money. My email and contact information is all verified and correct. Am I being scammed?

You have not been paid, sorry, unless you see a record of payment in your account. Ask for a transaction ID number so you can call customer service to verify/trace payment. People can do a screenshot of their screen and edit the jpg with photoshop and then take a screenshot of the edited jpg to send to you.
