Sent Package Then Customer Canceled PayPal Payment

I sold a Nintendo Switch on eBay about two years ago. I was new to eBay so one of the things that eBay does is that they put a hold on your funds until you prove that you have shipped the item. The customer “payed” and the money was pending so I sent the item and added a tracking number. Then, the customer canceled the transaction after it arrived so I never got the money and I lost the item. I then called PayPals customer support and they said that all they could do was notify the authorities and that they would be in contact with me. No one ever contacted me and I never received any more help. Is there anything I can do? I’m pretty sure I still have records of everything.
