Scam or not

I posted my daughters cell phone on fb and a gentleman asked if I would set up PayPal and ship it to him. I set it up and have received two emails about payment and tracking but nothing is showing on my paypal account. I want to make sure it’s legit before I go to the post office.

SCAM.

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk/spam folders.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

hello @Swaddle510

you sell .. respect that /

No money credited to his account, no sending of packages.

1 -Money against return by email of a parcel number, transaction number, last name first name copy of CI, proof of address, etc etc = Scam

2 -Purchase of pcs coupon, transcash, toneo, neosurf, etc etc = Scam

3 -Activation premium and / or international account (Swiss, etc etc) = Scam
(a PayPal account is international from its creation)

[!] I remind you that it is simple to verify that an email is true, and that it comes from PayPal.

The procedure is simple, you transfer it (not copy / paste, but transfer to ...) to spoof@paypal.fr or spoof@paypal.com
within 24 hours the automatic PayPal server will confirm by email whether it is true or not.
