Is there a way to safeguard against payment cancellation?
I'm building an app where users could send small donations to content creators thru a pledge system.
I'd like to accept payments from PayPal users, with PayPal and credit cards.
We connect the PayPal payment to the app's pledge system - user pledges to give $10 to creators, distributing that via an in-app currency in small chunks. When it's time to settle the pledge, we remind the user to do that, and he does that with PayPal.
However, how can I protect myself from fraudulent behavior should a user pledge a lot of money, pay it thru PayPal, and later dispute it? If I need to refund the money back to him, I would still be on the hook to creators.
