Release the fund

So I have this buyer bought a item from me. Her payment went immediately to hold and PayPal sent me email to tell me to wait at least 24hrs before ship an item out. It was Friday and I couldn’t ship the item. I notified the buyer that her payment went on hold and she filed a dispute on me the very next day. Now I don’t have her payment on my account and PayPal request me either to refund her or ship the item and provide the tracking number to close the case! How am I supposed to refund the money that l never received ?
