Hey everyone. So I got an email from this girl Jelena that she wants to buy our refrigerator. She had some major spelling mistakes in Croatian so I tought that she is a foreigner living in Croatia. But when I asked her a few questions, she didn't answer just continued about a fridge and that she wants to pay me via credit card. After I gor an email from Paypal (one with gmail.com at the end). It started tp get suspicious. We live in Croatia (Europe) and this girl is from USA. I asked her a question like why would you do it like that when for a sum of money she sent me she could buy a new one in USA. (Fridge was 1000kn and ahe "sent" me 2800kn). Like usual game and said that I have to pay 1500kn over western union to her shipping company that is, the shock now, situated in America. (They also have email with gmail.com at the end) I contacted the said company and asked them if they have some company in my country that they work with and ofcourse they didn't answer just sent me email to go to western union for money so they can come pick up fridge tomorrow. Honestly in my country pick ups don't happen that fast. Now she sent me a email that she will sue me and i got one from paypal to with pictures of people in cuffs included in the email. Im interested if someone got it too?? Honestly I dont think paypal sends those. I just wanna be sure its a scam. I read some of the questions and answer here in the community and everything is alike with some of the people that were almost scamed too. I just wanna be sure. Sorry for long post.

SCAM.

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk or spam folders.

They don't quibble on cost and may also say they can't view the item as they are disabled or working abroad etc etc but they will arrange a shipping agent to collect it.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

The 'fake' paypal email will tell you that the buyer has paid for the item + shipping costs but you must send those shipping costs to the courier/ shipping agent via western union, moneygram or walmart etc BEFORE the funds are released to you.
They are not interested in the item, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg Moneygram or Western Union etc.
Also their is no seller protection on paypal for any type of item that is collected by the buyer.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.
