A buyer bought a product from me and apparently paid the amount of R5200 over to PayPal.  According to the mail I received I need to courier the product to the buyer and forward the waybill nr and my bank account to PayPal for the funds to be released to me.....there are so many scammer out there....does this sounds ok???

No, not ok. Scam. Check your PayPal account to see if the funds are there.

 

Buyer do not need your bank account number at all. PayPal will release funds when you upload tracking number and PayPal can confirm delivery. Or you mark order as shipped and the buyer confirm it to release the funds or just wait the full 21 days if the payment is subject to PayPal 21 day hold so no need to provide bank account number to buyer (if they really paid).

Thanks for reply.  It's not the buyer that requested my bank account as per the mail, but PAYPAL.

It won't be paypal the email would be a spoof / fake email made to look as if its from Paypal.

As @sharpiemarker has already told you its a scam.
