Payment canceled

I sold a textbook through eBay and received an email from PayPal saying the money was sent from the buyer. I did not receive any instructions saying I had to accept the money. When the buyer received the book, he canceled the transaction so I never got paid. How do I get that money back?

You probably won't be able to get that money back. Contact customer service to see how the payment was canceled because once a payment is completed, it can't be canceled. It has to be disputed back unless the payment status was unclaimed (with cancel option) or unclaimed past 30 days and was automatically returned back to the buyer.

Always log on to check for payment first, don't just believe emails as wrong ones can be sent by PayPal or even spoofed by scammers.
