I've recently sold a laptop via Facebook Marketplace and the buyer asked if I could ship it to them and they would send me the money via Paypal.
I agreed and I went and sent them the laptop and sent them and Paypal the tracking number for confirmation. It's been about a little over a week since this has happened (6/11/2019) and I have still yet to receive my payment. It keeps on saying that it's pending.
I keep asking the buyer to see what's the problem but I now I can't get in contact with them?
Help!!! AM I BEING SCAMMED?

Sorry to hear that. We have to get acquainted with every feature of how our PayPal account works to protect ones self:

Also using the prescribed payment process and best practices urged by marketplaces support/help documentation.

Yes, but I am in the same boat as original poster. I haven't received payment. PayPal said those emails were fake and my laptop ended up being shipped to a fake address according to Fed Ex. now the buy is requesting Steam cards as a refund so I can get my money and I ignored it.

Wow. If you stick around on these boards, you learn a lot of what not to do and new scams to stay away from. Left boards for a while and came back, new scams like fake customer support numbers that are posted on web searches and be asking people to buy gift cards and people go out and buy them!!! Not just one card but a few to several some times. Breaks your heart. Never in my life I call customer service and they ask for me to buy gift cards! so if I experienced that I would have hung up and these scammers would ask for log in and other info too because it's supposed to be PayPal customer services right? Noooo...the hustle is real. OH man, wild stuff.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Wild stuff? Too true, can't believe some of the scams some folks sadly get suckered into unfortunately.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
