I believe I'm being scammed - please help

Hi there I think I'm being scammed. Please help / share opinions.

As I cannot get in touch with PayPal as the automated message keeps on hanging up on me I've decided to ask for your help.

Anyway here is the thing. A person who wants to purchase goods from me advised that they have paid the money.

I got the automated message from PayPal that ended up in spam that the money has been wired. Why spam if three other messages from PayPal came thorough to my inbox on the same day? Anyway putting this aside.

The person said that more money has been transferred into my account so I could pay for pick up (he's paying for a bed). I have to transfer my money to a different bank account, only then the full amount that I should get paid will be released. Those money do not even show on PayPal as "on hold".

Below is an email for PayPal that I have received.

"Be aware that you are 100% safe with PayPal and you do not need to worry about anything concerning this transaction as we are currently holding the money which is £XXX GBP therefore you should make proper arrangements with the buyer on how to get the £XXX GBP sent to the  address given to you so that we could be able to credit your account after you have sent us a copy of the Bank transfer details given to you at the bank or online where you sent the money.
We will only credit your account as soon as the money has been sent to the bearer and you send the Bank Transfer receipt to PayPal for confirmation.
The transaction has been screened and has proven to be 100% legal and real. You are hereby advised to go ahead with the transaction and send out the
£XXX GBP for the "Pickup Fee" to the bearer's address before we are able to credit your account, For security reasons email the Bank transfer  payment receipt to PayPal only and wait till your account is being credited before emailing the receipt to the buyer.
Be informed that this transaction is only available and can only be tracked and traced via email, If you have any question about the transaction you can email us back

Thank You
PayPal Team."

Email from PayPal also says that money are being kept with different company, until I transfer the money for pick up. I thought that all money are being normally held by PayPal? Please correct me if I'm wrong. This is a very first time when someone paid me via PayPal so I do not have much experience but I'd think that PayPal would store those money and that they should show on my account even if they are  "on hold".

Have any of you experience anything like that before?

Thanks

SCAM.

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk/spam folders.

They don't quibble on cost and may also say they can't view the item as they are disabled or working abroad etc etc but they will arrange a shipping agent to collect it.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

The 'fake' paypal email will tell you that the buyer has paid for the item + shipping costs but you must send those shipping costs (or a similar reason) to the courier/ shipping agent via anther payment processor than Paypal OR bank transfer OR via providing some vouchers or tokens before the funds are released to you.
They are not interested in the bed, they just want that couriers/shipping funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal do not do 'escrow' or hold funds anywhere but in your paypal account.
Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service eg Moneygram / Western Union / Bank Transfer etc.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
