How long does it take to clear up a mistaken customer report?

I had a customer make a charge and then report it as unauthorized.  I contacted the customer, who, as I suspected did not recognize the charge and agreed he made it, and said he would contact his card company.  He notified his card that that the charge was indeed valid and told them to reinstate the charge.  This was over a month ago and I just keep seeing the "under review" status.  This is ridiculous.  How long does this take?
