False reason for dispute

On the 22nd March I sold an item,purchaser paid by paypal,came and collected item from my home,checked it and took it away with them,now more than 3 weeks later have put in a claim to return as not working,Item was sold as seen no returne or guarantee

You should never accept paypal for an item that was collected as you have no paypal seller protection.

You should list cash on collection only.

If they had opened a dispute for non receipt then they would have won as you would not have been able to provide trackable proof of delivery.

BUT as they are claiming SNAD then you have a fair chance, make sure you respond in 'messages' to the buyer that the item was collected and sold as seen and also i would give c.s. a call to say the buyer collected it.
