Recently someone bought a digital code from me on eBay and emailed me asking for it. I gave them the code and everything was fine, I then saw a dispute on PayPal saying it was unauthorized. I checked the code and saw that it was already redeemed by the buyer. I provided the emails to show that they did in fact want the product and waited a week for the dispute to settle. I came back today and saw that not only was the person refunded but I now have a negative balance. Do I really have to pay to get scammed!? Is there anything I can do now?

Hi @Zaeryth,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!
In general, our Seller Protection policy does not cover you in case of a claim for an unauthorised transaction if you sold a digital item. This means that if we confirm the unauthorised transaction, you would be considered liable for the refund.
I hope this helps.
Martina
