I sold an item on eBay, and the winning bidder did not pay after 2 days. I then sent the winner a payment reminder, to which he didn’t respond. After 4 full days had passed from the auction’s close, I opened an unpaid item dispute on eBay. A couple more days passed, after which the buyer paid in full via PayPal, automatically closing the eBay dispute. Just hours later, the buyer filed a dispute with PayPal, claiming the payment was unauthorized. PayPal is only giving me the option of issuing a refund, if the item has not yet shipped. It seems to me that the buyer changed his mind and is trying to wriggle out of trouble with eBay. Has anyone had a similar experience? How did you resolve it?
