Buyer Claiming Inaccurate Item Sent

I recently sold an item through Facebook Marketplace and sold it via Paypal G&S. I sent the buyer a tracking number and plenty of photos, and reached out to them on the day of the delivery to ask if they had received it. Instead, they blocked me and immediately opened up a case claiming I sent them the "wrong item", and they would be returning this "wrong item" for a refund. So they are currently sending me back an incorrect item, allowing them to keep both the refund and the original item. I disputed this transaction with PayPal when the buyer first opened the case as well as providing screenshots of our conversation, but PayPal sided with the buyer and I haven't heard a single word back from PayPal despite my many messages to them.
Is there anything I can do? Or was I successfully scammed with PayPal not willing to support that?
