Hi.
I am a merchant and somebody made a payment to my PayPal account. However, before I fulfilled their purchase, I got an email saying "An Unclaimed Payment Has Been Cancelled." How is this possible? What if I had already sent the product to the customer? How does one "claim" a payment and why would I have to in the first place?
Thanks in advance.

Hi @OurRoseBear,
I'm sorry to hear of the unclaimed payment. There are several different reasons a payment would need to be claimed by the receiver. Usually, a payment is unclaimed if the payment was sent to an unconfirmed email address or phone number. A merchant usually has 30 days to claim the payment. If it isn't claimed within that time, it will be cancelled and returned to the sender.
I hope this information helps!
Thanks,
PayPal_Tricia
