Someone paying me is asking me for the security code texted to me

Hi All, Just need some help please. I am selling something on Facebook Marketplace & I had a lady message me about buying it, we came to an agreement on price & she asked for my PayPal to send the money over. I gave her my email & then I got a text message with a security code & on the message it said do not share with anyone but this lady messaged me to say that I had to share the code with her in order for the money to enter my paypal? Is this a scam? I haven’t received an email or notification to say any money was sent over , just got a text with the security code. Thank you

SCAM do not give her the code or she will hack your account.

Thank you , I had a feeling it was a scam. I submitted the chat to Facebook to report it as a scam anyways but that just confirmed I was right! Thank you so much ☺️
