Possibly Scam?

i have someone sending me a large amount of money and he said that he needs me to send him a gift card to verify that my account is safe for the money, he said it is because he has an old business bank and it is normally like this for him, should i stay away or is it true? Pls Help me.

Definitely a scam. I had heard about something similar. If you accept the funds, he'll do something on his end in that he'll reverse the money and you get charged in the end. Or hell cancel it and you'll have sent him a gift card and you'll be out that much. Either way, scam. Block and delete.
