Help with ebay and paypal refunds

I sold something on ebay. the buyer said it was fake. I bought it from a past employer. I refunded the buyer her money but she is no longer responding to my messages and wont send back my item. It was my first refund so i was unaware that ebay would close the case before i received the return. I sent ebay an email with the receipt showing the item is real and my unanswered messages to the buyer. They wont help. When I went to paypal, they also told me to deal directly with the buyer. In my first correspondent with ebay they told me paypal can reissued the invoice to the customer if they wont return. Paypal said I cant. Can someone pls advise what to do, they stole a very expensive item and neither company will help me !!!! Thank you.
