FB Marketplace Accounting Mess

Here's how the story goes:

1. Sold an iPhone on FB Marketplace and shipped immediately.

2. After several days, buyer contacts me to say she hasn't received her package.

3. Tracking shows "unable to deliver" and says recipient should go to local post office to pick it up.

4. I notified the buyer of the status and she said OK.

5. I follow up with her a couple of days later and she said she couldn't pick it up because "I don't have a slip"

6. The same day I notice two things: 1) buyer refunded and 2) sale proceeds deposited to my bank account, while 3) the package is still at the post office!

Now what? Who should I contact? What should I do?

I'm sorry to hear your transaction hasn't turned out as expected. It sounds like the buyer may have filed a dispute. When a dispute is filed, the money is placed on hold until the case is resolved. I recommend reviewing your Resolution Center for any updates. If needed, you can reach Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal website. Support is also available through Facebook Private Message or Twitter Direct Message.
