Why does Paypal discriminate against people with mononyms

I have a one-word name, a mononym. Why does Paypal block me from all services? I can't even pay as a guest because the credit card requires 2 names and my bank would allow Mr for a first name but this is also an invalid entry.

You need two names to use a paypal account.

Unfortunately, one name is a red flag for fraud and Paypal requires two names. No discrimination there because it is required of everyone.
