“We need more information about you” - what happens if I’m unable to provide said information?

So I received an email detailing the fact that since I’ve received a certain threshold of money within a year that I need to provide more information for verification. Unfortunately I can’t provide a proof of identification as my new passport won’t be ready until 10 weeks time though I’ve provided a proof of address through a bank statement. Is anything going to happen to my account so long as I’ve yet to provide all the information required?

If you don't submit something you risk your account being limited.

We accept copies of the following documents as proof of identity:

  • Your ID card
  • Your driver’s license (the plastic card, not the official letter)
  • Your Passport
  • Other photo ID issued by a government body

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

So I’ve sent them both a Proof of Address (which seems to been accepted) and a Proof of Identification but the latter has been rejected due to it being expired, which was my passport. So basically I have to provide a current POI that’s not expired? Also what exactly are the limitations to my account and how long until they come into action?
