Verification: Acceptance of Sudanese and Ethiopian IDs for Account Verification?"

Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to verify my PayPal account and need clarification on whether Sudanese or Ethiopian IDs are acceptable for this process. Can anyone confirm if these IDs are recognized for account verification purposes? Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

You have a UK paypal account so any ID would need to show you are located and live in the UK and have I.D / address to prove that.

What if I opened a US PayPal account? By the way, I hope you mean the "Upload ID" in the account management section, because I saw a couple of people upload their Ethiopian IDs.

You have to open a paypal account in the country where you live, if you open another countries paypal account it won't work properly for you and would soon be limited.

You can upload Ethiopian I.D. if you live in Ethiopia HOWEVER you would only be able to send funds for purchases in that country as you would not be able to RECEIVE any payments as Ethiopia is a 'send only' country.

And here is the full scenario for my problem: I was living in the US and opened a virtual visa card from Bitnob app, for a US billing address, I then came here in Ethiopia and I'm trying to apply for an online job that only requires a verified PayPal account, meaning linked to bank or credit card, so right now I'm trying to open a US PayPal account to link my US virtual visa card, but here I am, stuck with the issue of should I use an Ethiopian ID for verification acceptance. What I understood from you is that it won't work. What other options can I do then to open an account?

You can't use another countries paypal account.

You can't receive funds on an Ethiopian paypal account.
