Unable to remove a bank account

I have just tried to remove a bank account from Paypal and I am getting the message: "We're sorry we're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later". I have tried later, several times in fact but I still cannot remove my bank account...now getting really frustrated. 

I have a debit card and credit card set up from my another bank account, so there is always somewhere for funds to be withdrawn from, so that is not the issue.

Please can someone help me, thank you.

Thank you for the advice but after setting up another bank account and using it as preferred payment method.  It still not allowing me to remove the other bank account, the same message as before is coming up. 

Any other advice will be gratefully received, thank you.
