Trying to log into Paypal on a new computer

So I am on a new computer and am trying to get on Paypal so that I can link the debit card that I use on it to my bank account.

But whenever I have tried to log into my Paypal account since getting on the new machine, it's been asking me for a phone number so that they can verify that it's me, and it won't let me on without it. I can see why they're doing this -- when you log in on a new machine and a new IP, they have to do this so they know that someone else isn't trying to use the thing. The problem is that it's obvious that they want a cell number so that they can text me the code, but all I have phonewise is a landline phone, and that isn't working for verification -- whenever I try to have them call me so that I can enter the code on the phone, it's not giving me a ring, and it gives me a "Something Went Wrong On Our End" error.

I don't want to be locked out of this account forever, so I am going to need assistance.

Paypal have had messages on paypal accounts for months telling you to check you have a mobile phone number on your account for log in checks and when you withdraw funds.

If you do regain access you would need to add one to prevent this happening again.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
