Redirected to "Oops, looks like you took a wrong turn." when creating business account

I've been trying and failing to create a Business account. What I've been doing are the following steps:

 

  1. Login to Paypal > Settings > Account > Upgrade to Business Account
  2. "Tell us about your business:"   > Individual
  3. "You need a Business account. It's free to sign up for a Business account. Please choose an option:" > Create a Business account (Open a separate PayPal account for your business. Log in to your Business account with a new email address.)
  4. Paypal redirects me to the error page "Oops, looks like you took a wrong turn."

    I've checked my Paypal page and I don't see any notification of limitations placed on my account.

You haven't added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in so unfortunately we can't advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.

I'm having the same problem. I'm in Hong Kong and I've put that into my account profile as well as my documentation, but still "took a wrong turn". Any advice is appreciated.

Sorry not your thread, if you are posting on someone else's thread then give them advice applicable to their problem.

Starting another question for another issue when you are also probably in another country leads to confusion.
