Phone number changed - can't log in

My mobile number changed a few years ago but I never updated my profile. 

Now I can't log in as Paypal wants to send me a text on the old number to verify the account.

I've tried logging in from a different browser which doesn't work.

Also tried using the Help Chat system, but this also requires me to log in to proceed.

Tried ringing the help support number but spent ages going round and round in circles with the automated options, could not get to a point of speaking to an actual person.

Funny thing is, when I selected 'Ask the Community' to access this forum, it allowed me to log in to create this profile to do this!

Really stuck as to how to resolve. Would really appreciate if anyone can offer some help with this please?

I've been getting"your card has been declined" emails for 2 weeks now. I've got a sneaking suspicion someone has gotten my PayPal info. I have no problem requesting a new card. I've accumulated a good sum of money from games played online, and I'm afraid the money won't be transferred. It's tied to the same account so the money should safely make it to my new card since it's tied to your email account-right?!

Loads of posts on here all saying money ''pending'' from one game or another but I have never seen anyone actually get paid any money.
The large amounts of cash folks are trying to withdraw are a lot more than any game could earn with their advertisement sponsorships.

They just want you to think you will get cash to make you play or watch their ads or videos.
Research first as its very unlikely you are going to get a lot of money from playing a game !

I Have tried to log on to my paypal account with email + password and its only send txt message to my old phone number, so i cannot change & login to my account to update any information. Also cannot create new account, because oldone. So. Why you dont have any customer support email? Or anyway to contact than this forum? So, i need help to logon to my account. Thank you.

Try:
1. Downloading the app to see if it will let you in to change / update it in the settings.
2. Log on via developer.paypal.com, go to paypal.com and change it in settings.
3. Use the forgotten password option several times.
4. Trying another browser that may let you in without phone verification (then change it when you have logged in).
5. Trying again another day when sometimes you can get in without doing the verification and then change the number.
6. Changing the password a few times sometimes works as it can bypass the phone verification.
7. Try clicking on P top of the forum page and see if you can log in via the forum.

If that does not work then you would need to contact customer services so that they can i.d. you another way and then add your new phone number to your account.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.

I’ve been trying to log into my account to send money to a friend, but I’m prompted to confirm my ID with a text/call to a phone number that’s not been in use for many years.

 

Tried to find a phone number or email to contact PayPal directly, but it keeps sending me here. 

How can I get back into my account?!

When trying to login I didn't receive the sms and didn't receive a phone call and these are the only options I had.

Then I noticed the phone number is in the national format, without the country prefix +40 and maybe that is why.

 

How can I add this country prefix to the phone without being able to login because the lack of this prefix?

To add the prefix I need to login -> and to login I need to add the prefix -> This is where I ask for your help.

I forgot my password and it said "we can't confirm it's you", so I called for help.

 

They sent me a link to reset my password but i still couldn't log in, because the phone number I left for Paypal is not a UK number, so they think an uk account with an oversea number, it must be a fraud!(why you allowed me to use an oversea phone number at the first place?)

 

Here is the thing, I have no UK number, I am not in the UK, do I still have a chance to log in?
