PayPal isn't letting me close my account

I am closing my PayPal as I never use it. It used to be where my music royalties were sent to before they entered my bank. But now I can route my royalties straight from my distributor to my account so I no longer need PayPal. As I was closing PayPal, I got an error/alert saying: "Before you close your account, there's something you must do. Contact our customer service and we'll help you with it." What do I do because customer service is really ineffective. Has anyone else experienced this before? If so how did you resolve it?

Have you removed any linked cards or bank accounts?

Have you still got any subscriptions you need to cancel >>>

Check if you had a subscriptions set up.
