Locked account. Can't verify my debit card because I can't find code on debit card statement

My account was restricted last week and I was asked to confirm my debit card and to provide some documents. 8 provided the documents and tried to confirm my card but I didn't receive a code in the charge I was debited. I tried to confirm my card twice and I was debited twice. I use online banking and my transactions appear on the debit card statement almost immediately. Also worth mentioning that I have already reached out to PayPal customer care about this and nothing has been done about it. I think it's unfair that my account was locked for something I suspect is a technical problem from their end. What should I do?
