I received an fraudulent email, which says that my Paypal account has been restricted and I should login to give them some kind of response via a link in the email. On the first look I didnt think it was a phishing mail and actually clicked on the link. After I clicked on the link I had to login to my Paypal account. I didnt login because I got suspicious because I received Phishing-SMS wherr they tell you that you received a voice mail and you should download an app for it. My Question is now: Did anyone here got one of those phishing-mails? And are they able to hack your paypalaccount once you clicked on the link? Should I be afraid now that my money will be gone?

Hello @JayJonohaJameso,

Welcome to the PayPal community and thank you for your post.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Any time you receive an email about activity on your PayPal account, the safest way to confirm the emails’ validity is to log in to your PayPal account via the PayPal website (not using the links in the email received).

Any of the activity reported in the email will be available to view. When you receive a payment, you’ll see the money in your account right away. Even if it was placed in your pending balance, you’ll see this. If you still have those emails, please forwarded to review@paypal.com.
