I cannot create new Paypal accound with my US phone number. It says "Please use other phone number".

It seems that my phone number is invalid for Paypal, but I successfully signed up Gmail with this phone number.

I understand you're unable to create a new PayPal account with your desired phone number, and I'm sorry to hear that. If your phone number is already on another PayPal account, you might need to remove it from that account first. If you receive any other error messages, the phone number may not be compatible with our system. 

To help ensure a phone number can be used with PayPal, the phone number needs to be registered in your name. Additionally, some phone carriers may not be supported. We do not have a list of those carriers, but many virtual carriers are incompatible.
