How to change phone number on second PayPal account?

So I have two PayPal accounts. I specifically made a second PayPal because I have not been able to get into my original one because of not having my old number from years ago. I have tried calling to remove that number but they said they cant without verifying my identity with the number I don't have! At this point, I don't know if I should just give up on my old PayPal account.

For account access issues, you would need to contact our customer service department directly to have this reviewed and resolved. However, you may be required to validate the account in order for action to be taken. I would recommend reaching out to us again if you can. To contact our Customer Service team, click 'Help' or 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal Webpage.
