Hello.
I have acquired the German citizenship and plan to get rid of my Russian citizenship soon (in the next 6-12 months). How can I change the nationality in my Paypal profile without closing and re-opening the account? The name, all personal data, the address and country of residence — all these remain the same. I did NOT relocate anywhere and continue to live in Germany, where the account was originally created.
Thanks.

If you have a German paypal account then your nationality should show as German !!
Click on settings icon next to log out and check the nationality on the left side of that page.

Sorry, but not everyone who lives in Germany is German (about 15-20% of population in Germany are not, actually). My nationality is Russian, I came to Germany as a Russian and created the Paypal account as a Russian. Now, after many years, I have become a German — but with the same apartment and address. But I cannot change the nationality field, which shows "Russia" and is not editable — that is the problem.

The nationality field has to be the country you are living in at the moment.
So you have a German paypal account so your nationality would show as German.

@kernowlass I believe the reality presented in the screenshot.
Also, this account was created while _in_ Germany and specially _for_ Germany. I have/had other accounts in Russia & the US created from there and for those countries (now abandoned). Still, the "nationality" field was set by passport, not by address (I could not lie that I am a German when I was not).
Hence the question on how t fix this without re-creating the account.
Thanks for the link — I will go ask the moderator there (maybe it was that way a year ago).

I have the same issue - in 2-3 months from not I will no longer hold a Russian nationality and I already have a German passport. I closed my old PayPal account back in 2013 upon moving to Germany, and my new account created in Germany has always shown 'Russian' under nationality. It is not possible to edit it, and I cannot find any information on how to change it.
