Data integrity problem with PayPal addresses

I have a PayPal primary address that I use for most purchases and two subsidiary addresses.

My Primary Address has a postcode AB99 9CD, but when I make a purchase the order

is passed to the vendor with the postcode changed to AB99 9CF. That is, an incorrect

address that is similar to but subtly different from my registered primary address is

used for my purchase transactions. (The examples above are fake postcodes, but

illustrate the problem).

I've just spoken to customer support who were unable to explain why this has been

happening. I was told that I have "a lot" of addresses on my account, but my dashboard

shows only three. I think that the redundant addresses may now have been deleted

but since I can't actually review **my** addresses in **my** dashboard how can I

actually know? Does this level of personal information hiding in PayPal even comply

with Data Protection best practice? (I think not).

Something very fishy and not joined up here at the heart of PayPal.

It's a bit of a miracle that I have been receiving things I order and that must simply

be because of the resilience of the last stage of most courier processes.
